Pay rate ranges for student employees at UT-Austin are established by Human Resource Services. Specific pay rates will be determined at the time of hire and will depend on a number of factors, including the assigned job title, the complexity of the job, departmental compensation policies, and the employee’s level of experience.

Students who are hired for non-academic jobs (e.g. clerical, service, computer/technical) will be paid according to the Non-Academic Student Titles pay rates.

Students performing research related to their degree program will be hired under a Student Academic Title.
